How Do I Check If My Impressions Were Received?
We send two (2) types of emails notifying you that your impressions were received and their status:
Good Impression Email
- If your impression is approved the email will tell you that it was sent to the lab to begin being processed and when it will be completed
Bad Impression Email
- If your impression is not approved the email will tell you that you need to start over with the purchase of a discounted kit
- This communication is sent to the email you provide on your order
- It is the customers responsibility to check their email
- Delays are caused by not checking and respnding to emails
- Add [email protected] to your safe sender email list

I Got An Email Asking If I Received My Order, What Is This?
This email is asking you about your initial order of the Impression Kit and if you received it. It is not asking if you received your final product.

Shipping For International Customers
We provide shipping of the final product to international customers for an additional charge at checkout. Customers will be responsible for shipping the impressions back to SportingSmiles.
If you are an international customer:
- You pay a minimal fee for us to ship the Impression Kit
- We do not provide a return label to return your impressions
- You may ship your impressions back the cheapest way possible
- You don't have to send the box back to us if it's cheaper for you
I Didn't Get A Return Shipping Label - USA Customer
Each Impression Kit includes a Pre-Paid Return label (USA Only) and can be seen immediately upon opening the kit.
- If you misplaced this label, we can reprint it and email it to you as a pdf to print on your own and tape it on the box

When impressions are returned and approved, they go the Lab to be processed. Our standard processing time is 10-15 business days. If you upgrade to RUSH that time is shortened to 5-7 business.

My Whitening Trays & Gel Did Not Come With My Impression Kit
All you received at this point is your Impression Kit. Your whitening trays need to be made as they are custom to your teeth and that requires an impression of your upper and lower teeth.
- The process always starts with an At Home Impression Kit
- Before we can make your custom whitening trays, you need you to make impressions of your upper and/or lower teeth
- NOTE: Upper and lower impressions are required
- Bleaching gels and other whitening products are sent in the final shipment

How To Take An Impression At Home
My Gums Are Burning From The Bleaching Gel
If you experience burning gums with your treatments please follow the advice below:
Using too much gel during your treatments may cause a burning sensation on your gums. Using too much gel in the trays may cause issues.
- The whitening gel should never touch your gums.
- Only use about .4ml per whitening trays.
- You can fill 20-25 trays per syringe.
- One 10 ml Tube will last 1 YEAR!

SENDING IN YOUR OWN MOLDS
Can I Send In & Use My Own Molds?
We do accept Teeth Molds not made by us to be used to make your Dental Products. There are some things to note when we use molds not created by us:
- We don’t warranty your final product
- We are sure it will fit on the mold, but it does not mean it will fit on your teeth
- The mold you send to us may crack or break
- We will do our best so this does not happen, however we need to point out that there is a chance it can crack or break which will cause it to be unusable.

PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Your molds must be packaged and protected
- They must be bubble wrapped so they are not touching each other or anything else.
- If they are not bubble wrapped, they may be damaged during shipping and unusable.
We can return your molds or hold on to them for future reorders. Please let us know what to do.

How Long Does This Process Take?
The standard time for the entire process depends on how quickly you make approved impressions. Expect to receive your impression kit 2-3 business days after ordering. Once we receive your approved impressions our lab will craft your product in 10-15 business days and ship it back. Adding the Rush option will reduce the processing time in the lab to 5-7 business days.
If you experience issues making an approved impression it may delay this timeline. We recommend you review the following so the process is not delayed:

Is The US Post Office The Only Shipping Method Used?

Does SportingSmiles Straighten or Move Teeth?
Our products at SportingSmiles do not straighten or move teeth. All of our dental appliances keep teeth in their current state.
- If you need to straighten or move your teeth, we recommend you reach out to your Dentist or Orthodontist for advice.
We are happy to work with you once you're happy with the location of your teeth.
Can SportingSmiles Put A FAKE Tooth In A Retainer?
We are sorry, however, with the retainers we make we can’t put a fake tooth in it. The retainer material would just flow over the gap. It will prevent the gap from moving and always room for when you get the gap filled.
Why Must I Be 16 Years Or Older To Use These Products?
We are not able to make Dental or Orthodontic products for children under 16 years old due to the fact that they do not have all of their adult teeth in and they shift easily.
Please seek advise and/or assistance from your local dentist and/or orthodontist.
Can I Make A Retainer From My Plastic Retainer?
No. Your Plastic Retainer CAN NOT be used to make a new retainer.
- We can not make a retainer from a retainer
- Retainers are formed by using a casted mold
- A casted mold is made from the impression you make using the putty
- You can not press your retainer into putty to make your impression, it would NEVER fit your teeth, it would be TOO BIG
- The only way to make a new retainer is to follow the process correctly and make an impression of your teeth with the kit from which we follow the proper process

Is It Okay To Take An Impression If I Have Loose or Damaged Teeth?
You shouldn't use our impression kit if you have any loose teeth including crowns, bridges, implants, or any other dental work that may potentially become loose or damaged. Do not use our impression kit if you have braces. You will want to consult with your dentist before using if you have any ongoing dental work.

Can I Use My Molds To Make Impressions With Your Putty?
No, we do not accept impressions that are made from molds because we cannot guarantee that your teeth are in the same position as your molds. You must use our putty to make impressions of your current teeth alignment, not any stone molds or models. That way, the product we craft you will be the most accurate fit for your current smile.

I Emailed A Picture Of My Impression And Have Not Heard Back Yet
We service 500+ Customers per week and do our best to answer all emails and phone messages in a timely manner.
Our office hours are 8 am to 4 pm (cst) Monday - Friday.
Sending pictures of impressions for verification:
- Monday - Friday will be responded to within 24 hours
- Saturday and Sunday will be responded to in the order they are received
Please do not send multiple emails, it only delays the process of us asnwering your first one in a timely manner.
Do I Keep My Impression On The White Tray?
YES! Impressions must be left on the white tray so we can make the mold.
If they are removed from the tray it delays the process. Only remove the putty from a try if the impression is bad and you are going to reuse the tray to make a new impression.
Told To Send In Impressions, But Got An Email Saying They Are Not Usable
We apologize if you receive an email notifying you your impressions were not approved after we told you to send them in.
Kindly remind us that we did respond to your impression photo and instructed you to send it in for processing.
We will locate the email, note your account and happliy ship out a New Impression Kit At no charge!

I Still Have Not Received My Final Product
If you have not received your final product there are 3 Major Reasons:
First Reason:
We send two (2) types of emails notifying you that your impressions were received and their status:
Good Impression Email
- If your impression is GOOD, the email will tell you that it was sent to the lab to begin being processed and when it will be completed
Bad Impression Email
- If your impression is NOT GOOD, the email will tell you that you need to start over with the purchase of a discounted kit
- Address is not valid per the US Postal Service
- You live in a large complex or mail collection area / reception desk
- Someone other than yourself is collecting your mail
- Pandemic / Customs holding packages
- P.O. Box not able to accept package
- Sent to Work vs Home / No one to accept package
- Customer didn't retrieve it from their mailbox / front porch
- Post Office is holding the package

Tracking # Says Package Was Delivered But I Did Not Get It
If you used the USPS Tracking Tool and it is noted that your package was delivered, but you do not have it in your possession try contacting your local Post Office. They will have the most up-to-info on your package and will be able to inform you on the location more accurate than SportingSmiles.
We may be able to put in a claim on your behalf or send out a new impression kit.

My Final Product Does Not Fit Correctly, What Should I Do?
We don't anticipate issues with our product, however if you are experiencing an issue or problem we provide a 30 Day Warranty which provides a resolution for happy customers.
