If you haven’t heard the news, JustRetainers began the process of going out of business in the Fall of 2021. The disappearing business left many of its customers without refunds and wasted wallets. The problem is retainers and orthodontics, in general, take many years of experience and dedication to grow in business. JustRetainers started in 2018 and only lasted three years leaving customers without retainers and an empty wallet.

JustRetainers.com became overwhelmed by their customer base. Customer service suffered severely and eventually stopped responding to emails and phone calls. “I paid for upper and lower retainers to be made from previous impressions I had sent in. I am a second time costumer and my previous experience was more than great, but this time around only one of my retainers came in and I’m still waiting for the upper retainer. I emailed multiple times and don’t get any response. It’s been more than two months that I have been waiting for the upper retainers to arrive.”
“JustRetainers.com is an online based company that advertises affordable clear retainers shipped to your door. They begin by sending you a mold that is sent back followed by the aligners a few weeks after. I was charged $115 on October 11, 2021 and was sent the molds about a week later. The company had been fairly responsive to my follow up emails but they slowly began to take longer to respond. I had not heard back for weeks until I was finally assured that my molds were received and the aligners would ship November; however, they never did ship. At this point, I am no longer getting any kind of response from the company, whether by email or phone. Their website also states “closed for business.”
“JustRetainers charged my credit card on 9/24/21 for $103. I shipped my molds and today is 11/7/21. They are slow to get back, and thats if they even DO respond. After multiple attempts via email asking where my order was, they finally responded on October 19th saying they just received my molds and that my new retainers would be shipped Friday October 22nd 2021. When they didn’t respond with a tracking number like they promised, I continued to email them with no response. After sending an email that I was reporting to my credit card company and sending BBB complaint, they finally responded again on November 3rd saying my retainers will now be shipped on Friday November 5th and that I would receive a tracking number on that day. Once again, that did not happen. When I went to their website on Friday the 5th the first thing that pops up is a message saying “Currently Closed For Business”. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I am now just trying to get my original molds back from them.”

What happened to JustRetainers? It seems the company has permanently gone out of business and has stopped accepting new orders. How they are fulfilling or if they are fulfilling their outstanding orders remains to be seen. It’s clear from the BBB page that customer communication has been overwhelmingly poor. Be wary when trusting new online dental companies, and make sure to do your research and see if other companies have a better track record.
